ABOUT ME

Welcome! I'm glad you're here.

I'm a witch, a singer, and a teacher. In all three of these areas of practice I'm interested in getting to the heart of the matter, the wisdom at the centre, and the magic beneath the surface. As a scryer, I aim to create a safe, nonjudgmental space in which together we can explore symbols, meanings and messages that can guide you toward growth and well-being. I'm honoured by the trust you place in me by entering into a scrying session, and consider it a sacred charge to meet your search for wisdom with compassion and integrity.

My introduction to crystal scrying was a workshop taught by the wonderful Marilyn Shannon at the 2018 Elora Tarot Festival. This beautiful divination practice appealed to my lifelong love of rocks, stones, and crystals (a crystal ball is a thing of beauty), while challenging me to trust more deeply in my own intuition and perceptions. Further encouragement from Monica Bodirsky, from whom I'm  grateful to have learned much about the witching arts, led me to take up scrying as a regular divination practice. I have found working with the crystal ball to be deeply rewarding, both in my own practice and in reading for others. Scrying invites us to step outside our usual frames of reference, making space in our left-brain dominated forms of thinking for an older, more intuitive way of knowing.

Scrying is one element of my spiritual practice, which is informed by folkways, ancestral practices, animism, magic, ritual, and a sincere belief that spirituality and spiritual practice are an integral part of being human. I describe myself as a witch, in a modern usage of a very old word: one which, to me, connotes wisdom, strength, agency, and respect for all beings with whom we share this earth, even those unseen. Being a witch means that I am always trying to grow: in wisdom and in respectful, reciprocal relationship with the ecosystem - human, animal, plant, land, and spirit - of which I am a part. I strive to bring this growth mentality to my scrying practice and our session together.
